Retro adventure Valkyrie Saga makes its way to the original Nintendo Switch
Studio RAWRLAB Games has released its non-linear 3D retro platformer Valkyrie Saga on Nintendo Switch. Previously, in July 2026, the game had already debuted on Switch 2, and now it is available to owners of the current-generation console as well.
PSX classic atmosphere and dynamic platforming
The project is inspired by cult games from the original PlayStation era. Players will take control of the divine warrior Roll, sent by the gods to stop a gigantic flying island from crashing into the earth.
Key features of Valkyrie Saga include:
- Authentic visual aesthetics and a soundtrack in the spirit of PS1 classics;
- Dynamic movement: climbing, dashing, gliding, and jumping;
- Spear-based combat system against otherworldly creatures;
- Mysterious ruins with ancient records of a fallen civilization.
