Today, DESOLUS was released on Switch 2 — an atmospheric first-person puzzle game on which solo developer Mark J. Myers (known for his work on Outer Wilds and Manifold Garden) together with publisher The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild worked for over twelve years.
Time Travel and Impossible Architecture
In DESOLUS, players must prevent an apocalypse threatening the grand Gothic city of Desolus. To do this, they will have to travel between the city's past and its catastrophic future, manipulating black holes and time portals.
Key features of the game:
- Complex spatial puzzles: move stairs, arches, and building fragments across timelines to clear a path to the city center;
- Seven unique locations: explore majestic cathedrals and mirrored gardens in the style of Escher's artwork;
- Mysterious guardian: uncover the true cause of the temporal cataclysm and learn the city's secrets;
- Full Ukrainian localization: the game received an official Ukrainian translation among other supported languages.
The developer notes that he poured his whole soul into creating this surreal world and hopes that players will truly enjoy solving its architectural mysteries on the new console.
