Konami has announced the release of a new entry in the iconic franchise — Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, which became available on the Nintendo Switch hybrid console today.
A new story of the Belmont clan
The game's plot tells the story of Trevor Belmont, the hero who defeated Dracula, and his daughter Rose. Armed with the legendary holy whip Vampire Killer, they take to the burning streets of Paris to eradicate the monsters that have overrun the city from a mysterious castle. Soon, Rose finds herself at the center of a dark conspiracy that threatens the total destruction of the French capital.

- Improved whip combat system: Use the whip not only in dynamic battles, but also for acrobatic movement across locations.
- Diverse bosses and the Arcana system: Fight both classic opponents (Death, Medusa, Carmilla) and new enemies, such as Joan of Arc. Defeated bosses are sealed into Rose's tarot cards and become Arcana, allowing you to cast spells and execute special moves.
- Flexible combat style customization: Experiment with equipment by choosing weapons from seven different categories and relics with powerful offensive and defensive effects.
- Updated gothic atmosphere: The game offers a fresh look at the Castlevania universe, combining classic aesthetics with a distinct visual style and new spacious maps.
