Rhythm roguelike action game Ratatan released on Switch 2

The rhythm-action roguelike Ratatan from the creators of Patapon was officially released today on Nintendo Switch 2.

Today, the official release of the rhythm action game with roguelike elements, Ratatan, took place on the next-generation console Nintendo Switch 2. The project, considered a spiritual successor to the legendary Patapon series, combines dynamic side-scrolling combat and issuing commands to the beat of catchy music.

Journey to Eternity

The events of the game unfold on the vibrant island of Rataport. Whimsical creatures called Ratatans unite for a common goal: to reach the magical land of "The Everafter" and meet the powerful Goddess. Despite all setbacks, the heroes do not give up and set out once again on a perilous journey.

Ratatan gameplay features:

  • Large-scale battles: skirmishes featuring over 100 characters simultaneously unfold on screen.
  • Rhythmic controls: keep the beat to direct your Cobun minions into attack, defense, or maneuvers.
  • Freedom of movement: position your main hero on the battlefield and make timely tactical decisions to retreat.
  • Co-op mode: the game supports online co-op for up to 4 players.
  • Vibrant 2D animation: a colorful visual style makes every skirmish lively and fun.
