Publisher PLiCy has released the role-playing game AMEL BROAT for Nintendo Switch. The project is a modernized 2.5D remake of the classic game, which first saw the light of day in 1997 on the MS-DOS platform.

Plot and Features

The story unfolds around Princess Celestine, who miraculously survived an assassination attempt by her own emperor father and now travels under the name Tiene. Her goal is to find the legendary Sword of the Sixteen Nights before the emperor seizes it. Meanwhile, a young swordsman named Ale is pursuing the same goal.

  • Two protagonists: the player can complete unique scenarios as Tiene or Ale.
  • Magic system: learn forgotten spells by deciphering ancient grimoires.
  • Vibrant companions: companions include a self-proclaimed superhero, a drunkard bishop, and a runaway mayor's daughter.
  • Voice acting: story cutscenes are fully voiced in Japanese with English text translation.
