It Takes Two Released on Switch 2: Free Upgrade and Crossplay

The cooperative masterpiece It Takes Two has officially launched on Switch 2. Players can expect a free upgrade, crossplay, and improved graphics.

Publisher Electronic Arts and developers from Hazelight Studios, in partnership with Turn Me Up Games, have announced the release of the cooperative game It Takes Two, recipient of over 90 awards, on Nintendo Switch 2.

Next-Gen Improvements and Crossplay

The Switch 2 version offers significantly higher resolution, smoother frame rates, and richer visual effects. In addition, the title supports full cross-platform multiplayer, allowing you to play together with friends on PC, Xbox, or PlayStation consoles, or via GameShare with users on the original Nintendo Switch.

The best news for fans: everyone who already owns a copy of It Takes Two for the first-generation Switch can upgrade to the Switch 2 version completely free of charge.

Key Features of the Game:

  • Pure Co-op Perfection: Invite a partner for free using the Friend’s Pass system, even if they have not purchased the game.
  • Unpredictable Gameplay: Each level offers new unique mechanics—from battles with enraged vacuum cleaners to time manipulation.
  • Touching Story: Immerse yourself in a metaphorical tale about married couple Cody and May, who have been turned into dolls and are trying to save their marriage.
