Video Comparison of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Switch 2 and N64

A graphics comparison video of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Switch 2 and the original Nintendo 64 version has appeared. The updated game releases on November 5.

Adventures always have a beginning, and very soon players will be able to embark on an epic journey through time with young Link once again. The updated version of the legendary The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, created specifically for Switch 2, is preparing for release on November 5. Ahead of the release, a new video comparing the graphics of the Nintendo 64 original and the modern remake has appeared.

A Complete Reimagining of the Classic

The remake of the cult game offers not only a radically overhauled visual component, but also a number of modern innovations:

  • Interactive Ocarina: Thanks to the built-in microphone in the Nintendo Switch 2, players can hum melodies or play them on real instruments, and Link's ocarina will react in the game.
  • Hall of Fallen Heroes: A new location featuring statues of defeated monsters, where players can learn more about them or challenge them to a rematch.
  • Voice Acting and Symphonic Soundtrack: Cutscenes now feature full voice acting, expanded dialogue, and live orchestral accompaniment.
  • ZELDA NOTES and amiibo Support: A service in the Nintendo Switch app will assist in adventures, and two new amiibo figures with exclusive masks will be released in 2027.

The game's release coincides with the 40th anniversary celebration of The Legend of Zelda series, offering both veterans and newcomers an unforgettable experience of saving Hyrule.
