The Flock Grows on the Next Generation of Consoles
Publisher Devolver Digital and developer Massive Monster have announced that the hit roguelike city-builder Cult of the Lamb will officially arrive on Switch 2 on October 22, 2026. Great news for fans: all players who have already purchased the game on the original Nintendo Switch console will receive the update completely free of charge.
What to Expect from the Switch 2 Version?
Although the developers have not yet revealed the exact technical details of the update, players can safely expect significantly higher resolution, faster load times, and a stable increased frame rate for smoother gameplay.
In Cult of the Lamb, you play as a possessed lamb saved from annihilation by an ominous stranger. To repay the debt, you must build your own religious cult and attract loyal followers:
- Build your settlement: gather resources, construct shrines, perform dark rituals, and deliver sermons.
- Destroy non-believers: explore procedurally generated dungeons, fight hordes of enemies, and defeat rival cult leaders.
- Co-op and expansions: the updated version also includes all expansions, including Unholy Alliance featuring co-op play, new quests, relics, and Tarot cards.
