Developers from Ubisoft shared fresh technical details regarding the The Crew Motorfest version for the new Nintendo Switch 2 console, which is scheduled for release on October 8, 2026.
Stable Performance in an Open World
In an interview with P-Nintendo, the project's creative director Julien Hummer stated that the game runs at 1080p resolution at a stable 30 frames per second. According to the developers, ensuring a stable framerate was an uncompromising requirement:
“30 fps was an absolutely non-negotiable requirement for us. We couldn't release the game without a stable 30 frames. That is already a significant achievement for an open-world racing game featuring Dassault jets flying at 600 km/h and a massive map that expands over time.”
Full Support and Shared Content
The game's producer Grégory Corgié also emphasized that the Switch 2 version will not be an isolated port, but will be fully integrated into the overall The Crew Motorfest ecosystem:
- Players on Switch 2 will receive all updates, seasons, and additional content simultaneously with other platforms.
- The game provides completely full functionality without content cuts compared to the higher-end versions.
