Legendary Terranigma to Release on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2

A Cult Classic Returns

Publisher Clear River Games, together with Square Enix, has officially announced the unexpected return of the legendary role-playing game Terranigma. The classic action-RPG will become available for both the original Nintendo Switch console and the next generation — Nintendo Switch 2.

History and Release

The game's release is scheduled for 2027. Originally developed by Quintet studio, Terranigma achieved the status of a cult Japanese role-playing game. Interestingly, the original for the Super Nintendo was never released in North America, although it reached the European market at the time.
