Publishers Ziggurat Interactive and QUByte have officially announced a re-release of the classic 1998 psychological horror game — Sanitarium Enhanced. The project is being developed for the Nintendo Switch hybrid console and is scheduled for release by the end of 2026.
What's new in the updated version?
Sanitarium Enhanced will offer players both a nostalgic experience and a series of modern improvements:
- Full controller support (for the first time in the game's history);
- Quality of Life gameplay improvements;
- Exclusive archival and bonus materials never shown anywhere before.
The original Sanitarium achieved cult classic status thanks to its eerie atmosphere, surreal locations, and deep storyline about memory loss and psychological trauma. Switch owners will soon be able to experience this adventure genre legend on their platform.
