Despite Nintendo Switch 2 continuing to demonstrate phenomenal results worldwide, the console has conceded its title as the fastest-selling in US history. However, leading market analysts see no cause for concern in this.
Circana analytics: everything under control
Speaking with The Game Business, Circana executive director and analyst Mat Piscatella noted that the future of Switch 2 looks extremely optimistic. According to him, figures remain very high, and a new surge in demand awaits the console ahead.
- No shortages: Comparing statistics is difficult, as it is rare for such a successful device to avoid severe supply issues in its first year.
- Bundle changes: In September, the company skillfully adapted its pricing policy — moving away from the Mario Kart bundle in favor of the standard set, preserving an attractive shelf price.
- The Zelda factor: A massive surge in sales is expected with the release of the limited The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition.
“People are going to buy up the Zelda version of Switch 2 in droves, and scalpers are already preparing to list it on eBay for crazy money,” Piscatella added.
