Crazy speeds and combat excitement
Studios Whatnot Games and Crossbridge Games have announced the release of their retro-futuristic racer Star Racer on Nintendo Switch. The project, which previously debuted on PC, draws inspiration from cult classics like F-Zero and combines ultra-high speeds, gravitational flights, and fierce battles.
Players will not only have to masterfully navigate turns, but also utilize a diverse arsenal of weapons against opponents while smartly balancing energy between nitro boost and shields.
Key features of Star Racer
- Dynamic races: wild competitions on tracks featuring lava, ice, mines, and turrets.
- Flights in the clouds: dizzying stunts and aerial combat at full speed.
- Track editor: a full-fledged tool for creating custom racetracks and publishing them online.
- Local multiplayer: a competitive split-screen mode for up to 4 players on a single console.
- Soundtrack from a master: select tracks for the game were composed by legendary composer Grant Kirkhope (Banjo-Kazooie, Donkey Kong 64, Mario + Rabbids).
Star Racer is now available for purchase on the Nintendo eShop digital store.
