FuRyu has unexpectedly announced and immediately released an updated version of its classic 2013 Japanese role-playing game — EXSTETRA. The project, which was originally released on Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita, is now available to players on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
A Kiss That Saves the World
EXSTETRA is an unusual fantasy RPG where kisses serve as the main driving force of the story and combat system. The game is set in a world called Amazia — an alternate Tokyo merged with another dimension and teetering on the brink of total destruction.
The main character, high school student Ryoma, turns out to be the chosen savior — the "Prisma". His mission is to find the "Prisma Knights" and awaken them with kisses in order to confront the apocalypse together.
Game Features:
- Unique post-apocalyptic world: familiar Tokyo districts such as Shibuya and Akihabara, masterfully interwoven with a fantasy setting thanks to the artistic style of tokyogenso.
- Kissing system and EXS energy: by defeating enemies, the protagonist absorbs special energy and transfers it to allies through a kiss, enhancing their combat abilities.
- Deep "Enchant" customization: the ability to enchant weapons and equipment with various effects to gain an advantage in battles.
The remaster is already available for purchase in the digital store for both generations of Nintendo Switch consoles.
