For the 35th anniversary of the iconic video game hero, the YOYOYO brand announced the release of an exclusive porcelain figurine titled Sonic the Hedgehog Arita Ware Infinite Blue. This work of decorative art combines modern gaming design with centuries-old Japanese ceramic traditions.
Art and Traditions of Arita Ceramics
Classic Japanese Arita porcelain techniques were used to craft the figurine. Sonic's signature blue color was reproduced using the traditional cobalt pigment "Gosu," renowned for its durability and depth of shade.
Two prominent manufacturers worked on creating the collectible item:
- 224porcelain — a company that combined the 400-year history of Hizen Yoshida ceramics with modern digital 3D modeling;
- Riso Kiln — a prestigious workshop whose tableware is used in Michelin-starred restaurants worldwide.

The figurine will be released in such a limited run that it will become a true treasure for wealthy collectors:
- Total run: 50 pieces worldwide;
- Price: 6,335 US dollars;
- Release date: October 9, 2026.
The first 5 copies will be displayed and sold on a first-come, first-served basis at the "SONIC the Exhibition -ACROSS GENERATIONS-" at the Ikebukuro PARCO complex in Tokyo, while the rest will be drawn via lottery on the official YOYOYO online store.
