Publisher Kwalee and independent studio The Wild Gentlemen have announced the official release date for their atmospheric retro-horror RetroSpace. The game will be released on the next-generation console Nintendo Switch 2 as soon as October 1.
Disco-punk in outer space
The creators describe RetroSpace as a space disco-punk horror with immersive sim elements. Players will have to survive aboard an abandoned and dangerous space station where something went wrong.
Gameplay features:
- Freedom of playstyle choice: you can act as a stealthy survivor, avoiding conflicts, or become an action-movie mutant hero, eliminating threats by force.
- Unique aesthetics: a 1970s science fiction atmosphere combined with retrofuturism and disco styling.
- Immersive gameplay: station exploration, resource management, and environmental interaction.
Along with the release date announcement, the developers also presented a new trailer showcasing the eerie atmosphere, diverse mutants, and dynamic combat mechanics.
