At the center of the new title's story is Susan, who sets out in search of her missing daughter 13 months after the mysterious disappearance of six girls in Sicily. The investigation leads her to the abandoned Ashmann family estate on the slopes of Mount Etna, where deadly pursuers, family secrets, and supernatural phenomena await the protagonist.
