Publisher QUByte Interactive, in collaboration with Brazilian studio BlackHawk Games, has announced that the psychological detective horror Beyond The Evil will be released on Nintendo Switch on October 29, 2026.
The game, which previously debuted on PC (Steam), offers an intense and distinctive investigative story. The developers deliberately abandoned the combat system in favor of pure deductive logic, forensic analysis, and tactile interaction with the environment.
The Mystery of the Missing Family
In Beyond The Evil, players take on the role of private detective Gary Nephew. In 2019, he responds to a disturbing call to a remote estate in Pennsylvania. Arriving at the location, the hero encounters a horrifying crime scene and eerie traces of secret laboratory research into a deadly virus.
The detective has no weapons for self-defense — his only tools will be his own mind, powers of observation, and communication with his partner Lucas Smith.
Game Features:
- Pure deduction and investigation: the absence of combat and inventory management allows you to fully focus on logic and the search for clues.
- Deep interaction with the environment: the ability to pick up, rotate, and closely examine hundreds of 3D objects, notes, and evidence.
- Challenging puzzles: cracking safes, finding keys, deciphering codes, and reconstructing the timeline of tragic events.
- Atmospheric psychological tension: an emphasis on sound design, suspense, and the gradual unraveling of the mystery.
- Choices with consequences: the final moral decision leads to one of two fundamentally different endings — good or sad.
