The collaboration between The Pokémon Company and the legendary Japanese Vocaloid Hatsune Miku continues to delight fans with new music. As part of the expanded initiative, a new music video for the song "1996" by renowned producer ryo(supercell) has been released.
Success of Project VOLTAGE
Originally, the Project Voltage 18 Types 18 Songs collaboration aimed to present only 18 tracks and corresponding illustrations representing each Pokémon type. However, the immense popularity of the initiative prompted the creators to produce additional tracks and launch a sequel — Project VOLTAGE High ↑.
Nostalgic Track "1996"
The new composition is titled "1996", which is a direct reference to the release year of the franchise's first original games — Pokémon Red and Green. The music video combines Miku's signature vocals, recognizable Pokémon aesthetics, and dynamic visuals.
