Dynamax Uxie in Pokémon Go: How to Defeat and Catch the Knowledge Pokémon
A formidable new opponent has appeared in Pokémon Go — Dynamax Uxie, the Legendary Knowledge Pokémon from the Sinnoh region. Like other Dynamax and Gigantamax representatives, it cannot be caught in the wild: trainers will first have to head to special Power Spots and defeat it in Max Battle mode.
Uxie's Weaknesses and Type
Uxie is a pure Psychic type, which makes it vulnerable to the following attack types:
- Ghost
- Dark
- Bug
At the same time, the Pokémon resists Fighting and Psychic types, so avoid using fighters from these categories.
Best Counters for Max Battles
To defeat Dynamax Uxie, you will need Pokémon that already have the Dynamax ability and effective attacks of the corresponding types:
- Dynamax Gengar — powerful Ghost-type attacks (Shadow Claw, Shadow Ball / Max Phantasm) deal colossal damage.
- Dynamax Inteleon / Cinderace / Rillaboom with learned Dark or Ghost moves to charge the energy meter.
- Dynamax Greedent — capable of withstanding heavy hits thanks to its high HP pool and dealing consistent damage with Dark attacks.
- Dynamax Charizard or Dynamax Blastoise as versatile heavyweights to back up the team.
Battle Tips
Don't forget to upgrade the Max Guard and Max Spirit levels of your Dynamax Pokémon, as Uxie is known for its high defense stats, which drags out the battle. Gather a reliable team of trainers, accumulate Max Particles, and deploy protective barriers in time during the boss's most powerful attacks.
