Detective visual novel Psycho-Sleuth may come to Switch if PC sales are successful

Detective visual novel Psycho-Sleuth may get a Nintendo Switch release if the game's sales on PC are successful enough.

The developers of the intriguing detective visual novel Psycho-Sleuth have shared plans regarding a possible release of the game on Nintendo Switch. During a recent Reddit AMA session, the creators revealed that provided sufficiently high sales of the PC version, they would gladly take on the creation of a port for the Nintendo console.

Cognitive Disorders and Intricate Crimes

Psycho-Sleuth is a psychological detective story where the cognitive disorders of the death game participants change the very rules of the investigation and distort reality. According to the plot, the mysterious "Li" cult has set up a trial: kill someone and avoid getting caught in order to attain divine status. Thirteen chosen heroes suffer from unusual mental afflictions that even affect the crime scenes:

  • OCD: forces speaking exclusively the absolute truth, where no one is able to lie.
  • Spatial neglect: erases any evidence from the left side of perception.
  • Prosopagnosia: blurs people's faces into complete anonymity.

Gameplay Features

Players will have to participate in an intense "Debate Mode", where quick thinking and logic determine everything. One must timely refute deceptive statements with the right clues and track down the real culprits. The game also boasts animated Live2D character portraits and striking CG punishment illustrations.

The team did not name a specific PC sales threshold, so one can only hope for a successful launch on computers in order to eventually see it on the Nintendo platform.
