Capcom Abandons Controversial Monetization
Capcom has announced welcome changes for Monster Hunter Wilds players. With the release of the massive Ascendance expansion, the developers will completely stop charging to change character appearances.
The paid voucher system (Character Edit Vouchers), which had long drawn community criticism in previous games of the series and at the launch of Wilds, is finally becoming a thing of the past.
What will change for hunters:
- Complete removal of paid character editing vouchers.
- The ability to freely customize your hero's appearance at no additional cost.
- The innovation will take effect alongside the release of the Ascendance expansion.
This decision marks a significant step toward players, who have repeatedly urged the publisher to make basic customization features free.
