Ahead of the release of Minecraft Dungeons II, the developers shared an atmospheric live-action game promo video titled “Battle for Tokyo”. The video showcases an invasion of hostile forces into a real-world metropolis and calls on heroes to unite their efforts.

What Awaits Players in the Sequel?

According to the game's plot, the illagers (Illager High Council) have opened a mysterious dimension and unleashed corrupted souls along with a gigantic blue creeper. Players will have to embark on a new dynamic action-RPG adventure:

• New, never-before-seen locations and challenges;
• Dangerous bosses and high-stakes battles;
• A full-fledged co-op mode to play with friends.

The release of Minecraft Dungeons II is scheduled for September 29, 2026, for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 consoles.
