Giant Mario to Soar Over New York
This Thanksgiving, the iconic Mario will take to the skies as a giant balloon at the milestone 100th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Alongside this, official Nintendo stores in New York and San Francisco are preparing holiday merch, special offers, and themed activities for visitors.
Impressive Scale and Super Mario Galaxy Inspiration
The Mario figure was created by the team of artists at Macy’s Parade Studio in close collaboration with Nintendo of America. The massive balloon boasts truly impressive dimensions:
- Length: over 15.5 meters
- Width: over 11 meters
- Height: over 13 meters
Mario will appear in his classic blue overalls and signature red cap in a dynamic flying pose inspired by the game Super Mario Galaxy. Viewers will be able to watch the character's flight during the live broadcast of the parade on November 26.
