Co-op Roguelite LightSup! Coming to TGS 2026: Switch Release in 2027

The co-op roguelite LightSup! will be showcased at Tokyo Game Show 2026. The game will be released on Nintendo Switch in early 2027.

Publisher Red Dunes Games and developer Bugblio Studio have announced their participation in Tokyo Game Show 2026. At the event, the team will present their project LightSup!—a dynamic cooperative dungeon adventure scheduled for release on Nintendo Switch in the first quarter of 2027.

Eternal Eclipse and the Power of Friendship

Game development has been underway since 2023. The story tells of the world of Illuvia, shrouded in eternal darkness. A group of young adventurers sets off on a perilous journey to find a way to dispel the gloom and save their home from monsters and madness.

LightSup! Gameplay Features

  • 1 to 4 Player Co-op: while dungeons can be tackled solo, the game truly shines in local co-op, creating fun and dynamic chaos.
  • Roguelite and Beat-'em-up Elements: team progression system, diverse characters, and randomized challenges during each run.
  • Blessings and Curses: a risk-and-reward system where powerful buffs can impose shared restrictions on the entire team.
  • Living World: atmospheric locations, such as the "Living Forest" or "Ruined Castle," that tell the world's story through the environment.

Following extensive testing, the developers have significantly improved the game's pacing, user interface, and overall playability ahead of its upcoming release on the hybrid console.
