The Music of Hyrule on Vinyl
In partnership with publisher Laced Records, Nintendo is releasing the official soundtrack to the masterpiece game The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on vinyl records. The release of the collector's editions is scheduled for September 4, 2026, and the first lucky buyers are already receiving their orders.
This is one of the first times an official soundtrack for a major Nintendo game has been released on vinyl outside Japan. The music, created by composers Manaka Kataoka, Yasuaki Iwata, Hajime Wakai, and Soshi Abe, has been specially remastered for the analog format.
Edition Variants
Several versions of the release have been prepared for fans:
- Double Vinyl (Double LP Deluxe): contains 34 selected tracks, including iconic pieces such as "Overworld (Day)", "Great Fairy Fountain", and "Hyrule Castle". The limited edition is pressed on heavy blue-and-white marbled vinyl.
- Collector's Box Set (8-LP Box Set): a complete collection of 130 tracks across 8 records, housed in a premium rigid slipcase. Each disc thematically corresponds to a specific stage of gameplay — from world exploration to freeing the Divine Beasts.
In addition to the limited color variants available on the My Nintendo Store and Laced Records, standard editions on black vinyl will also arrive at regular retail stores. For those who prefer digital formats, this and many other soundtracks are always available in the dedicated Nintendo Music app for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.
