Final Fantasy 14: Evercold to Release in February 2027 Alongside New Zephyr Class

Square Enix has announced the release date for the Evercold expansion for Final Fantasy 14, the new Zephyr class, and release details on Switch 2.

During the opening of Fan Festival 2026 in Tokyo, producer and director Naoki Yoshida shared extensive details about the next expansion for Final Fantasy 14, titled Evercold. The expansion's release is scheduled for February 23, 2027, including on the Switch 2 console.

New Class: Zephyr

The star of the presentation was the new physical ranged DPS class — Zephyr. Characters of this class enter battle armed with a crossbow and summon an avian familiar named Nephele to their aid. Zephyr joins the previously announced Bastion tank equipped with a large shield.

For fans, a physical Collector's Box has also been prepared, featuring a Warrior of Light figurine in the Reaper role, an art box by Yoshitaka Amano, a keychain, a plush toy, and a tapestry. Owners of Switch 2 and other platforms will be able to purchase the Digital Collector's Edition with the Valhallar Odin mount separately.
