Dutch indie studio Starbrew Games has announced that their cozy open-world crafting adventure Duck Side of the Moon will receive a major free update titled Homegrown on November 17, 2026.

Since its May release, Doug the duckling has explored many corners of the galaxy, crafted tons of gadgets, and befriended talking stones. Now, it's time to settle down. The Homegrown update will add the ability to grow plants right among the stars, customize your spaceship, and embark on new adventures.
Key Features of the Homegrown Update:
- Gardening: Plant seeds, care for crops, and harvest produce right in space.
- Ship customization: Collect chromas and customize furniture and walls to your liking to turn the vessel into a cozy home.
- New adventures: Meet new characters and discover never-before-seen locations.
- Completely free: The content will be available to all owners of the game at no additional cost.
The new features will unlock around the middle of the playthrough. Players who have already completed the game will be able to load their old save file and immediately experience the fresh content.
