Koei Tecmo and Gust shared an unusual gameplay detail for the upcoming JRPG Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories. The game will feature a function that alters the main heroine's body shape.
How will the mechanic work?
Karia's figure will change in real time depending on how often and how much she eats various treats and snacks during her adventures.
- Complete freedom of choice: this feature is purely optional.
- Ability to disable: if players disable this mechanic in the settings, Karia's appearance will remain unchanged regardless of the amount of food consumed.
The developers note that they aimed to add an interesting visual element for atmosphere immersion, leaving the final choice to the player.
