Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment have announced a new collaboration for their battle royale. The limited-time event Apex Legends VS Street Fighter 6 will unite two legendary competitive universes on September 22 across all current platforms, including the Switch 2.
Updated "Olympus" Arena and Fighter Kits
As part of the special Wildcard mode, players will drop onto an updated "Olympus" map transformed in the style of Street Fighter 6, featuring themed arcade cabinets, Luke's gym, and Blanka balls. Players will be able to utilize the fighting styles of four iconic characters:
- Ryu: quick gap closing toward opponents and the devastating Shin Shoryuken uppercut.
- Chun-Li: wall running, accelerated melee strikes, and a powerful Kikosho blast.
- Akuma: ranged fireballs and the signature deadly Shun Goku Satsu finisher.
- Dhalsim: levitation in low gravity, ranged space control, and the Yoga Sunburst attack.
Fighter Form and the Final Battle
By filling the Fight Gauge, Legends will be able to enter "Fighter Form," switching the camera to a third-person view and gaining improved defense, speed, and empowered attacks. In the final round, players will face a Showdown — an all-out brawl where all participants transform into fighter form, and defeated players return to the fight.
Cosmetics and Rewards
The event will introduce the "Hadoken" Mythic melee cosmetic item with its own Deathbox, 8 unique Legend skins (including Sparrow as Ryu, Alter as Chun-Li, and Gibraltar as Akuma), 8 legendary weapon skins, banners, skydive emotes, and much more.
