Co-op horror returns to Nintendo's new console
Daybreak Game Company and Cold Iron Studios, in partnership with 20th Century Games, have unveiled a fresh trailer for Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2. The anticipated sequel to the third-person co-op survival shooter will arrive on the next-generation Switch 2 console in the fall of 2026.
The new trailer, titled "Xenomorph Showcase," highlights the lethal alien creatures lurking for players in dark corridors.
Fight for survival in a squad of up to 4 fighters
In Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, squads of Colonial Marines will venture into the most dangerous corners of the "Alien" universe. This is not a rescue mission, but true survival against waves of intelligent enemies capable of setting ambushes.
The updated gameplay will offer:
- Deeper team mechanics and class synergy;
- A fully customizable Specialist class;
- Smarter Xenomorph behavior;
- Diverse threats and unexpected combat escalations.

The 40th Anniversary Premium Edition and a series of DLC packs have also been announced:
- Ripley’s Hive Exterminator Pack: an outfit inspired by Ellen Ripley's iconic look from the finale of the 1986 film and a modified pulse rifle.
- Herk’s Mondo Pest Pack: crazy gear and a giant rifle styled after comic book hero Herk Mondo.
- Rain’s Jackson’s Star Pack: a pack inspired by the movie "Alien: Romulus" with cryo weapons and a colonist suit.
