Activision Calls Nintendo a Great Partner During the Launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4

Activision called Nintendo a great partner while preparing the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 for Switch 2.

The Call of Duty franchise is returning to Nintendo platforms after a long 13-year hiatus—the last installment on the company's systems was Call of Duty: Ghosts for the Wii U. With the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on the Switch 2, players will get full feature parity with other platforms, including full cross-play.

Nintendo is Interested in a More Mature Audience

In a recent interview with The Game Business, Activision's Chief Marketing Officer Tyler Bahl spoke about rebuilding the partnership with Nintendo and working together on the shooter's release on the new platform.

«We are rebuilding that relationship, and Nintendo is giving it their all. We have launched a co-marketing campaign. In many ways, they want to bring in a more mature audience and expand the range of players with the addition of a first-person shooter. Nintendo has proven to be an incredible partner, and we only see further growth in our collaboration, especially with the return of future projects like Spyro», Tyler Bahl noted.
