Zelda Creators Eiji Aonuma and Hidemaro Fujibayashi Attend Ocarina of Time Release in New York

Eiji Aonuma and Hidemaro Fujibayashi visited New York ahead of the release of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake on Nintendo Switch 2.

Ahead of the highly anticipated release of the full remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo Switch 2 system, the hype has reached its peak. Fans around the world are lining up in huge queues to be the first to experience the updated legend. Key series creators—producer Eiji Aonuma and game director Hidemaro Fujibayashi—also joined the launch celebration in New York.

Legendary Developers at the Launch Celebration

Both Nintendo veterans have had a tremendous impact on the development of the franchise. Eiji Aonuma worked on the original 1998 game for the Nintendo 64, while Hidemaro Fujibayashi led the development of masterpieces such as Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. The developers were spotted near a festive banner celebrating the start of sales in the US.

What's New in Ocarina of Time on Switch 2:

  • Completely revamped visuals, built from the ground up for the power of Switch 2;
  • Fully voiced cutscenes and expanded character dialogues;
  • Symphonic soundtrack in a new orchestral arrangement;
  • Modern controls for character movement and improved camera behavior;
  • Interactive Ocarina: the ability to play Link's instrument by humming melodies or playing your own musical instrument via the built-in microphone of the Nintendo Switch 2.

This grand revival of a timeless classic will be a wonderful opportunity to fall in love with the universe of Hyrule all over again or to begin exploring the legendary adventure series.
