H2 Interactive announced the worldwide release of the cult arcade racer Re-Volt on the Nintendo Switch console. The legendary RC car game has received a new life and a number of modern enhancements.
The return of the 1999 classic
The original Re-Volt was released back in 1999 and won the love of millions of players. In it, you control miniature RC cars across everyday locations: supermarkets, toy stores, museums, and even ghost towns. The game features over 28 unique RC models, and each track is filled with obstacles as well as various power-ups and weapons.
Nintendo Switch version features
The version for the hybrid console includes several important updates that make the gameplay even more comfortable:
- Quality of life improvements: added in-game help, a minimap, and the ability to hold up to three items in the inventory instead of one.
- Split-screen: local competition for up to four players on a single console in split-screen mode.
- Diverse modes: single-player championships, Time Trial, Stunt Arena, and multiplayer.
- Authentic physics: dynamic suspension and signature RC car handling.
Collector's physical edition
In addition to the digital release, fans were offered the special edition Nintendo Switch Re-Volt H2 Edition, which includes a game cartridge, a limited box, a metal slipcase, a sticker set, an English manual, and a two-CD soundtrack.
