Mojang Studios, together with creator team Mush Co., has prepared a pleasant gift for all fans of the sandbox game Minecraft. Ahead of the Halloween holidays, a free themed sound effect pack called Wilderness Bound: Haunts & Harvests has appeared in the in-game Minecraft Marketplace.
Cozy and Spooky Autumn Atmosphere
The new audio pack perfectly complements the recent update featuring the autumn biome. It combines atmospheric coziness with spooky elements typical of the season of pumpkins and ghosts:
- Enhanced sounds of rustling leaves and howling wind in the forest;
- Creaking doors and chests that add mystery to old buildings;
- Snapping twigs, croaking frogs, and the unsettling hooting of owls;
- Upgraded, eerie cries of night mobs and zombies.
New Sound Customization Features
Sound effect packs are a new way to customize your game world—from retro arcade styles to realistic horror ambient. The official full launch of the new sound pack lineup on the Minecraft Marketplace is scheduled for November 10, but you can try out the autumn pack completely free of charge today on all current platforms, including Nintendo Switch.
