Start of the New Season and a New Support Hero
Blizzard has presented the launch trailer for Overwatch Season 5, titled A Grim Doctrine. The main highlight of the season is the new support hero — Doctrine, who was freed from a volcanic prison by Doomfist himself. The character is capable of manipulating life using their Eternal Scepter and mechanical drones, as well as enhancing abilities with the signature Infuse passive.
New Map, Reworked Heroes, and Halloween
A vast amount of fresh content awaits players:
- Watchpoint: Grímsvötn — a new Escort map set in an Icelandic prison, where the final chapter of the confrontation with Talon will unfold.
- Mystery Madness: Graveyard Games — a Halloween event where heroes gain random abilities after each death.
- Hero reworks — Sombra shifts to the support category, while Roadhog receives updated weaponry and the Trash Compactor ability.
- Fresh cosmetics — a mythic skin for Wuyang, a mythic weapon for Lúcio, and the Dokiwatch 2.0 collaboration.
The season is already live in the game across all platforms, including Nintendo Switch.
