Co-op horror game Escape the Backrooms is gearing up for a big celebration. Publisher Secret Mode has announced the release of a major update titled After Party, which will add three brand-new levels to the game this December.
Festive Horror in the Backrooms
The update was announced during the Triple-i Initiative autumn showcase. Conceived by the developers at Fancy Games studio, After Party will bring a festive atmosphere to the eerie corridors: players will get themed skins to enjoy some cake before running for their lives from monsters.
- October: release of a pack of free and paid cosmetic items (including entity costumes).
- December: release of the After Party update itself featuring three new levels.
Massive Popularity of the Horror Game
Since its Early Access launch, Escape the Backrooms has attracted over 12 million players. The project offers 1–4 player co-op survival and features more than 30 diverse levels. The game is available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
