Video games have long been not just for children
Since the 1980s, video games have had the stereotype of being entertainment primarily for children, but over the years the player base has steadily aged. In fact, sometimes companies have to make considerable efforts to interest younger generations in their projects. Publisher and developer Capcom recently stated in their latest quarterly report that they are actively working on attracting a young audience.
The youth choose Capcom
According to the company's statement, they "are working on attracting young users not only for Pragmata, but also for all their games". They also note that some of this work is already bearing fruit.
- Users aged 20-29 make up approximately half of the Pragmata and Resident Evil Requiem audience.
- Given the millions of sales of both these games, this is an extremely impressive figure.
Although the Resident Evil franchise has been around for a very long time, it manages to remain relevant thanks to its modern installments. At the same time, Pragmata has proven itself to be a strong debut project that appeals to both veteran gamers and younger players.
