Starting September 9, 2026, users of the official mobile app Nintendo Today! will be able to unlock new digital collectible cards daily, dedicated to the iconic series The Legend of Zelda. The event is timed to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the legendary franchise.
Over 300 Cards and Quizzes
In total, over 300 unique cards featuring images and facts about different entries in the series will be available to collect. Each card will include a special quiz allowing fans to test their knowledge of Link's adventures and the universe of Hyrule.
Interface Update
In addition to the collectible cards, Nintendo Today! will update themed calendar animations showcasing moments from classic and modern The Legend of Zelda games. The app also continues to provide its core features:
- Daily news from the world of Nintendo, including releases for Switch 2;
- An animated calendar and event schedule with Google Calendar synchronization;
- Convenient widgets featuring favorite characters for your smartphone's home screen.
