Q returns to change the rules of the game
If you have already managed to bring the starship U.S.S. Voyager back home, the omnipotent Q is still not very impressed. On October 1, the sci-fi survival strategy game Star Trek: Voyager - Across the Unknown will receive a free update featuring the new Q Trials game mode for Nintendo Switch 2.
In the new mode, players will face true roguelike challenges where the rules are constantly changing. The developers promise:
- Random events and shifting routes across the Delta Quadrant;
- Complete freedom in crew composition (for example, the ability to assemble an all-Borg crew);
- Voice acting by the incomparable John de Lancie, who returns to the role of Q.
Paid Equinox DLC
Alongside the free update, the paid Equinox DLC will be released. It adds a new playable ship, the U.S.S. Equinox, for the trial mode, as well as Captain Rudolph Ransom, Maxwell Burke, and Noah Lessing.
The U.S.S. Equinox is significantly smaller than the Voyager, offering less space, a smaller crew, and a much weaker warp drive—making it the ideal vessel for a hardcore trial that only Q could devise.
