The developers of the cult indie hit have shared a new musical snippet from the upcoming expansion Vampire Survivors: Legacy of the Bloodmoon, whose release on Nintendo Switch and the console's successor — Switch 2 — is scheduled for August 28, 2026.
A new look at the music and lore
The released track "Legacy of the Bloodmoon" was written and arranged by composer Daniele Zandara. Along with showcasing the composition, the creators revealed details of the backstory: in ancient times, Saint Baal'Tazar had a vision of paradise illuminated by a blood moon and founded the Order of the Red Moon. Following his disappearance, the order fell apart, and unprincipled followers from the Blood Moon Clan set out in his footsteps.
What awaits players in the expansion:
- A new large-scale XL-format stage.
- 8 new original music tracks: "Legacy of the Bloodmoon", "It’s Her Nature", "What He Wished For", "Borrowed Feathers", "Grasp All", "Lose All", "You Knew What He Was", and "When You Took Him In".
The release of Vampire Survivors: Legacy of the Bloodmoon is just days away, so prepare to face the endless hordes of monsters once again.
