Studios Digital Eclipse and Atari are preparing for the release of Toy Story 3 Complete Edition—an updated re-release of the hit 2010 game. The project will arrive on Switch and Switch 2 on October 15, 2026, and the developers have revealed the technical details for both platforms.
Technical Specifications on Switch and Switch 2
The remaster will offer enhanced graphics and more stable performance, though the experience will vary depending on the chosen console:
- Nintendo Switch: 30 fps, 900p docked and 640p in handheld mode;
- Switch 2: 60 fps, 1080p both docked and in handheld format.
What Will Be Included in the Complete Edition?
Toy Story 3 Complete Edition includes all previously released content, including bonuses that were formerly exclusive to the PlayStation 3 version. The main feature of the project remains the legendary "Toy Box" mode—an open sandbox offering world customization and missions from characters of other Pixar films.
Key Features of the Game:
- Story Mode: Relive familiar events from Andy's room to Sunnyside Daycare, playing as Woody, Buzz, and Jessie.
- Co-op and Character Swapping: Complete challenges together with a friend in local co-op, combining the unique abilities of the toys.
- Toy Box Sandbox: Create your own Wild West-style town, unlock new toys, vehicles, and costumes.
- Family Fun: Accessible controls and approachable platforming suitable for both newcomers and dedicated fans of the franchise.
