Publisher NIS America has announced a new fairy-tale adventure, The Grimm Reapress and the Drearytale Monster, from the creators of the touching hits The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince and The Cruel King and the Great Hero. The game will be released on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 in 2027.
A fairy-tale world full of mysteries and dangers
At the center of the story is a girl named Mono, whose sister has fallen ill with a mysterious ailment called Paper Mortis. This magical disease turns people into illustrated books, and the books themselves into terrifying monsters. To save her sister from a seemingly incurable curse, Mono joins forces with Mar, a monster consumed by a thirst for revenge.
