A Return to the Green Shades of Game Boy
Studio Lillymo Games, known for games such as Habroxia, Super Perils of Baking, and Saint Slayer: Spear of Sacrilege, has announced a new line of projects called the Green Series. It is inspired by the aesthetics of the original Game Boy console, and the first title in the series will be the platformer Ravenous Greed.
In this game, you will take on the role of an enchanted hero trapped in the body of a raven. The project combines platformer, shoot 'em up, rhythm game, and various arcade activities, wrapped in a retro style of green and black pixels and an upbeat chiptune soundtrack.
Game Features
The developers note that Ravenous Greed will be one of the most accessible games in their portfolio — there is no classic Game Over in the game, and each run progresses the player forward regardless of playstyle.
- Graphics and soundtrack inspired by the classic Game Boy era.
- 21 unique levels with item-collecting objectives and hidden secrets.
- Constantly shifting gameplay: platforming, boss battles, shoot 'em up stages, skateboarding challenges, and more.
- Arcade mini-games at the base (Caw-chinko, shooting gallery, claw machine).
- A large number of upgrades for the hero's stats and abilities.
The release of Ravenous Greed on Nintendo Switch is scheduled for early 2027. Going forward, the Green Series will be expanded with other retro reimaginings and brand-new franchises from the studio.
