The deep-space survival strategy game Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown has received a massive free update, Q Trials, as well as the paid expansion Equinox.
Trials from the Restless Q
The Q Trials mode is designed to significantly diversify playthroughs and add roguelike-style challenge elements. Players can expect random events, shifting routes, and complete freedom in assembling their own crew (for example, it is now possible to assemble a crew consisting entirely of Borg). Actor John de Lancie has officially returned to his role as the omnipotent trickster Q.
Paid Equinox DLC Expansion
Alongside the free patch, a paid DLC has been released, adding a new ship for the Q Trials mode — the U.S.S. Equinox, along with its crew led by Captain Rudolph Ransom.
Features of the U.S.S. Equinox:
- More compact size and less space for equipment;
- Smaller crew size;
- Reduced warp drive power for a true hardcore challenge.
Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown is a story-driven strategy game where every decision made by the captain alters the crew's fate and the starship's configuration during a challenging journey home through the Delta Quadrant.
