New gameplay footage of Onimusha: Way of the Sword on Nintendo Switch 2 has surfaced online. The new installment in the iconic samurai series from Capcom releases on September 4, 2026, simultaneously on Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Return of the Legendary Franchise After 20 Years
Onimusha: Way of the Sword is the first completely new installment in the series in two decades. The dark fantasy story follows young samurai Miyamoto Musashi in Edo-era Kyoto as he fights against demonic Genma creatures using the mystical Oni Gauntlet.
