Creator of the Ori series calls rumors of a third installment nonsense
Recently, rumors have begun circulating online about the potential development of a third installment in the popular metroidvania series Ori. However, Moon Studios head Thomas Mahler was quick to dispel these hopes, calling such reports complete fabrication.
In a post on the social network X, the studio head noted:
“I can confirm that the Ori 3 rumors are nonsense. At the same time, I recently had dinner with Gareth Coker (composer of the Ori series) while he was recording the soundtrack for No Rest for the Wicked in Vienna. Even he asked me if we were ready to make another part, saying: \"It's time!\"”
All efforts focused on No Rest for the Wicked
Moon Studios is currently fully focused on the development of its action-RPG No Rest for the Wicked, which is in Early Access and gradually preparing for its full version 1.0 release.
As a reminder, the previous installments in the series — Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps — achieved massive success and also came to the Nintendo Switch console, where they won the hearts of many fans of the genre.
