Capcom previously confirmed that the game Resident Evil Requiem will receive additional content: first in the form of a minigame, and later as a full-fledged story expansion. However, recent leaks reveal significantly more details about the anticipated story DLC.
Return of Iconic Characters
According to information from a trusted insider, the story expansion will consist of two separate parts. Alyssa and Leon will play the leading roles in the first part, while the second part will focus on Ada and Chris. Although specific plot details have not yet been disclosed, the appearance of these heroes will undoubtedly delight fans of the series.
Development Details and Release Date
Well-known insider Dusk Golem also shared additional insights regarding the scale of the project:
- The story DLC release is tentatively scheduled for late 2027;
- It will be a massive and ambitious expansion;
- The developers behind the Separate Ways expansion for the Resident Evil 4 remake are involved in the development;
- The DLC is planned to feature the Spencer Mansion (Arklay Mansion from RE1), which was originally cut from the main Requiem game.
We will have to wait for an official announcement from Capcom regarding story details, but the expansion plans for Resident Evil Requiem look extraordinarily massive.
