The cult arena fighter about giant kaiju Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered is coming to Switch 2 on November 3, 2026. Although far from all fan favorites are present in the original roster, a fresh discovery by dataminers hints at a possible post-launch expansion of the fighter lineup.
Discovery in the Demo Code
Data researchers, studying the files of the game's recent demo version, discovered numerous mentions of downloadable content (DLC). It is currently unknown what exactly will be included in these add-ons, but there is a strong possibility that studios Atari and Pipeworks plan to expand the game with new monsters or arenas.
Remaster Features:
- Updated 2002 Classic: Completely reworked graphics, quality-of-life improvements, and updated balance.
- 12 Unique Kaiju: Each giant has its own set of devastating strikes, ranged attacks, and a special Rage Mode.
- Interactive Locations: 8 diverse zones (including Monster Island and real-world metropolises), where buildings can be used as weapons.
- Online Battles: Support for local co-op and full online multiplayer.
- Flexible Progression System: The ability to unlock monsters, locations, and gallery items in any order.
There has been no official announcement from the developers yet, so we have to wait for confirmation from the game's creators.
