Strasbourg-based indie studio Toe Bean Club has launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund its new game Mirage: Miracle Quest. It is a charming role-playing game with deckbuilding elements, and its developers have expressed a strong desire to release the project on both the original Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
Plot and Inspirations
The game's protagonist is a young exorcist named Mirage. Her peaceful life is shattered after a mysterious creature attacks her hometown. Together with new allies, she embarks on a dangerous journey across the continent of Andafi to uncover the secrets of her past and master magical powers. In creating the atmosphere and world, the creators were inspired by hits such as Cardcaptor Sakura, Undertale, and Dragon Quest.
Gameplay Features:
- Unique combat system: classic turn-based RPG battles combined with deckbuilding mechanics.
- Character progression: each magic wand has its own spells and skill tree, expanding the deck's capabilities in battle.
- Magical cooking: players can cook various dishes to create useful buffs and items.
- Exploring the continent of Andafi: meeting colorful locals, completing side quests, and boosting one's reputation.
The Kickstarter campaign's base goal is $55,000, and fans of the genre can already support the project's development.
